Bob is a partner at Balfour Moss LLP with over 18 years experience in criminal law.
Bob has successfully appeared before all levels of court in Saskatchewan, and has acted as
lead counsel in many significant criminal trials in Saskatchewan. In particular, he has argued
"battered spouse syndrome" defences and "defence of third parties" defences in homicide cases
achieving acquittals on both arguments. Bob was instrumental in changing the way in which juries
are selected in Saskatchewan when the accused is part of a racial minority. Bob recently completed
one of the largest 'criminal organization' trials in western Canada. His research into jury trials
has recently been published in leading national journals.
Bob is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, and is a member and past
president of the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association.
