Charmaine Panko is a collaborative lawyer and mediator at Balfour Moss LLP. Charmaine
has experience in civil litigation, administrative law, corporate and commercial law,
family law as well as wills and estates.
Charmaine sits on the board of Collaborative Lawyers of Saskatchewan and the ADR Institute
of Saskatchewan Inc. and is the Chair of the CBA ADR North Section. She is also a member
of the CBA National ADR section and the CBA ProBono National Committee. Charmaine is a member
of the editorial board of the Canadian Bar Association (Saskatchewan Branch) publication,
Bar Notes and was also an editor for the
Saskatchewan Law Review. She volunteers
with ProBono Students Canada and the Children’s Advocate office, and is a mentor with the CBA
student mentoring program. Charmaine is a board member for the Public Legal Education Association
(PLEA) and facilitates an introduction to law for homeschooled teens for PLEA twice a year.
Charmaine is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Conflict Resolution Saskatchewan,
Christian Legal Fellowship, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and the
Law Society of Saskatchewan. She authored
R. v. T.D.P.: A Young Offender, His Sentencing Circle,
and the YCJA, Sask.L.R. (2004).
Charmaine is actively involved in the community as a board member for FLICKS International Film
Festival for Young People, volunteer instructor and board member of the Young Actor’s Club, member
of the Prairie Spirit Home Educators’ Parent Committee, and is responsible for the children’s
church ministry program at Calvary Church.
